Elastocaloric Effect in Aged Single Crystals of Ni54Fe19Ga27 Ferromagnetic Shape Memory Alloy

In the present study, effect of ??-phase dispersed particles on both L21(B2)-10M/14M-L10 martensitic transformations and elastocaloric in aged Ni54Fe19Ga27 single crystals oriented along [001]-direction was investigated. It experimentally shown that aging strongly affects properties these crystals. The precipitation semi-coherent up to 500 nm size at 773 K for 1 h leads a 1.4 times increase operating temperature range ?TSE = 270 as compared with initial as-grown (?TSE 197 K). adiabatic cooling values ?Tad are similar 10.9 (±0.5) 11.1 K. containing incoherent sized 5–35 ?m (after 1373 0.5 h) possess an 255 slightly smaller below 9.7 [001]-oriented demonstrate high cyclic stability: number cycles does not influence parameters loading/unloading curves regardless particle size. ways improve stability by means NiFeGa ferromagnetic shape memory alloy were discussed.
